Copying & Pasting?
« on: August 31, 2010, 07:03:39 AM »
Hey, I was just wondering...
Is it possible to copy and paste in SAI?
Because, basically, I am drawing a comic, and three frames of my comic are exactly the same.
And it took me about half an hour doing the first frame.
So I want to know,
Can I copy the first frame so that it doesn't take me forever? :-\

Well, the EASY answer is yes. To copy, do a 'selection' of your first frame, do the CTRL+C (or use EDIT->COPY from the menus) then do a CTRL+V (or use EDIT->PASTE from the menus). This will give you a new layer with whatever you copied in it;  you can then use the MOVE tool to move this new frame into position.

The challenge is, of course, if you have more than one layer in your first frame to begin with. Since SAI doesn't support copying multiple layers at once (nor copying a layer folder), you'll have to copy each layer of your original frame and line it up in it's new spot.
