[SAI - English] How do you make transparent layers?
« on: August 11, 2010, 03:05:59 AM »
So I am new to this SAI thing and I was wondering how do you make Transparent layers when inking in SAI?
I am inking line-art and when I open it up in a different program it has a white background, so I was wondering is there a to make the layers transparent.
Any help is appreciated. :)

Try

File -> Export as -> png -> 32bpp ARGB

however, remember that you should always save your work in the native format (sai extension - use save as instead of export as), and export a copy only when you need to open the image in a different program.

You could also use the opacity slider situated above the layers, select the layer in the list, set the level of opacity/transparency you want and you're done, it should save as a transparent layer.
