Advantages and disadvantages of this fan-made pack

I decide to stop distribute my own language.conf file, because it is different from official ("Layer Set" <-> "Folder" for example), and beginners has problems with this.

but i'm so freaking new to the digital art world,
and am considering the paint tool sai.

this is what i've gathered from browsing:

i purchase the license to have the sai program and download the program itself,
and then i download this translation guy,
and then...

stuff.

any help for a totally clueless artist hoping to use sai to launch into digital artwork?

replace your language.conf with restorer's file
place SAI digital license file e.g. "00000numbersblahblah.slc" in your SAI folder and ENJOY

Um, this has probably already been asked, but when you download it, do you need the real SAI already downloaded?  Because when I try to open mine it says something about Administrator needed or something like that.  Help?

narutaki, if you will spend a second and click "[Read more...]" next to "PaintTool SAI English Pack 1.1.0 Full" on home page, you will see message: "This installer will install english pack, sai programm itself and necessary shortcuts." - yep, software included.

Blaze, real SAI (latest version from official site) is included into Full pack.

Because when I try to open mine it says something about Administrator needed or something like that

If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7, than:
1) Don't install SAI into Program Files. Install it into any other folder (D:\software, C:\software or something other)
2) Yep, when SAI starts first time, it need Admin rights. Right click on SAI executable, than click "Run as administrator"

I downloaded the paint tool sai from here, and I have a question.
is this the trial one that disappers in like 30 days or this last forever.
because in the Japanese SAI site they let peple download their trial one but for only 30 days.

This version has no differences from original one (except additional brushes and textures), so yep, it is 30 day trial.

Hello, I've been using your version for a while... and now that I have the money to purchase the liscense, I'm scared to death that I might be buying something non-compatible.

So let me get this straight--This translation of Paint Tool Sai is like a PATCH? which comes with the original software underneath it as well... And I can buy the license and put it into the appropriate folder of... the English Pack? And it will work?

I'm just trying to make sure it will; I've read the other posts about this and I don't think I will rest easy until I ask for myself. Because I'm stupid like that.

Okay nevermind--once and for all I've discovered that downloading the file and simply placing it into the Paint Tool Sai Program Folder works for reals.

I'm sorry it seems so difficult for so many people to grasp, I think everyone might just be afraid of getting scammed or are just afraid that foreign software might not work. No scam, here. I understand now; the program is essentially an edited version of the original, so therefore, no difference.
