Which Wacom Cintiq should I get
« on: February 19, 2015, 09:32:31 PM »
I am beginner at drawing and I'm thinking about buying a cintiq. I been teaching myself how to draw over the past year. I have a Intuos Pro large but I don't like the disconnect. It feel like it harder to draw. I'm thinking that cintiq might make it easier to draw or more feel like drawing traditionally. I'm already using dual monitor for video editing.

As for what I'm going to be using it for? There a comic book that I really want to make.

Right now I have over $1700 save up from my tips from work. (worked at a restaurant) From I was even thinking about a cintiq. By the I'm really to buy which maybe around April or May I should have about $2000 or more.

I been talking to few people cintiq. They suggesting if I can afford a bigger tablet then go for bigger just to save on the trouble. 22 inch or 24 inch. Both have rotating stand.

13 inch HD for $1800

22 inch HD for $1800 or with touch $2000

24 inch HD for $2200 or with touch $2500 It look like no longer available.

Personally I kind of like the 24 inch just because it has a few more buttons.

The programs I'm using are. Adobe Premiere Pro CS6, Photoshop CS6, After Effects CS6, Fxhome HitFilm 3, Clip Studio Paint and Sai Paint Tool.

Is touch the extra cost?

you should get the 24 if you gonna save that much money.

so that you can have a full hd and 10:9 screen surface to work.

avoid the hand detection option since may cause some input issues when detecting the stylus or your fingers.

I had that issue with a fujitsu lifebook and found that I can turn off (disabled via hardware options) the finger detecting.

but I don't know if that is possible with a cintiq.

so I recommend NO TOUCH option.

It's look like 24 is no longer available. So it look the 22 for me.

So touch is not worth the extra.

i belive that the touch feat is just a gimmick. focus on the pen input. that's the true feature.

too bad that the 24 is not available..

but try to search in other stores! ebay too! give it a shot
