Another new painting program in development. I can't say much about it because I don't speak Japanese, but there is an English version for download.

Seems to have a lot in common with SAI.  Paint and vector layers, similar vector editing tools, layers and brushes.  I couldn't get the text tool to work, it's a bit slow and it tends to crash a lot.  Also it seems to only save in its native file format.  If it were more stable, the text tool worked and saved in PNG or PSD files it could be a serious contender.

There's a mention in the blog about Unbuntu.  Maybe there is a version other than Windows.  I do see it has an autosave function.

A few things: the source code is included with the Windows downloads in a Zipped file.  This latest version has a feature that lets you open MikuMikuDance 3D models and accessories to use as a reference image.  Much like the 3D materials in Clip Studio Paint.  Supposedly you can save files in PSD, PNG and Jpeg (probably with a script macro).

So I tried the latest version.  The paint and draw features do work.  I still can't get the text tool to work.  When I tried to run the 3D model version (Mikado.exe) the program crashes after running.  Conclusion: still needs work to be stable.
