I'm surprised there has been no posts about this, but...

Azel switched to Ubuntu Linux last year, and earlier in March of this year he released a version of AzDrawing for it. He released it in the tar.gz format for all versions and a .deb file for Debian based versions of Linux (like *buntus, Debian itself, Linux Mint, etc.). I've tested it on Kubuntu and can confirm it works!

Check it out: http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA033749/linux/azdrawing.html

I also emailed him earlier in the year to see what the progress of bringing AzPainter over to Linux is, and he said to expect it next year at the earliest.

So, Linux users, rejoice! We are now getting Sai (small paint applications) for Linux.  ;D
