Has anyone tried this on a multi-touch screen? Does it work? Or is it still made for non-touch devices? I don't have MT on my tablet, and so can't tell.
I must say, having played with this, that I'm excited. It's as fast as ever, which is wonderful, but some bugs have been fixed too (I always had issues binding certain keys to pen buttons, for instance). The 64 bit compatabiliity is also very nice. It was easy to move around a huge canvas, etc. Brushes at huge sizes were wonderful too-- even blending ran smoothly up to 1000! That's really big for what is normally a pretty CPU-intensive task, and I'm not running it on a desktop.
I also noticed they've improved some of the texture dynamics-- before, the brush textures would scale with the brush size, but now I noticed that the texture scale remains the same and it's just the brush head that increases. This allows me to over a huge swatch of area, but to have the textural affect of a canvas background still read true. My memory is that this wasn't the case in Sai 1.1. I love the ease with which you can construct Sai's 2-texture brush method, and then throw in a background texture (what is essentially a texture on Overlay) on the Layers panel. Quick, easy, and very effective. If he could just include some good geometrical tools, this would probably replace SBP for me too. Still, seems like a wonderful improvement anyways!
Having this in English would be awesome. I would be wonderfully grateful.
