Questions about Clip Studio Paint
« on: June 10, 2012, 12:05:01 AM »
Hello all,

I open this topic cause I think I will have some questions about this new soft I don't really know (first time I use it).

The first question I have is : is there a tool to blur the areas/lines or anything else I want to blur on the pic ?

In Manga Studio there is a blur tool and a blender color tool.

In Clip Paint Studio, I just see the blender color, but don't find the blur tool.

Thank you  :)

it's under the subtools of that icon

(not the one selected, I think the third one is smudge)

each of these tools can have a vast amount of varying tools below it. I believe in the new CLIP the pencil, brush, airbrush, blur, eraser, and decorator are all technically the same tool, with just the options set differently - and these are accessed through that brush list. I may be mistaken.

Ok it's work well ^^
The difference is that an area to blur can be define in manga studio, not in clip paint studio it seems.

Hello all :)

I would like to add a shortcut to flip honrizontaly without going to the menu or the toolbox on the right.
It's easy to create, but I can't enter the shortcut "Cmd H".
"H" takes "shift", "Option", "Ctrl" but seems don't like "Cmd".

This shortcut is not already assigned and I tried with the left and right "Cmd"

Someone got the same case ?

I'm on a Mac.

Sorry for my bad english.

cmd+h is usually reserved for hiding the program. It's a default setting for OSX.

I have my flip horizontally set to cmd+,

I just used cmd+, and

So now I use "Cmd F" (F for flip)
It will be ok coz I don't use the vertical flip, or just ocasionaly.

Thank you digitoonie  ;)

Hello everybody,

I hope I am right in this forum and also that you do not punish me about my stupid questions.
I am absolutly new at this topic. I bought Manga Studio 5 an was disapointet cause there are only two school models in the standard material. So I download CSP, translated it but don´t know how to start to create a new character. The question is: How start or what are the first steps.

Do I need Celses Paint first to get faces etc.?

Is there any "Start up" Video on the internet or can someone explain the best way to start with.

Thank you so much.
Greetings from Bavarian
Thomas

MS5 and CSP aren't programs for creating 3D models in. Models are mainly there for a reference guides. You would use a 3D program like Poser or Clip Studio Modeler (Not avaliable yet) To make them and import them to CSP for illustration.
