Hey, can you download CSP EX as a free upgrade if you purchased a license for the regular CSP?

Cheers!

No, you can't. You do get a discount though. (roughly $60) off I believe. So it's about $200 US.

Damn.  $200 is a lot of dough just to get a few extra lines of code added to the package so I can toggle the lasso selection method on the fly.  As much as this is an important step forward, it's just not enough.  If Celsys updated their file format options I might consider re-buying, but as it stands. . , No deal.

Too bad.  CSP has a LOT of exceptionally awesome stuff to offer, but without being able to save files efficiently, it's more burden than use to me.

Looks like I'm sticking with PS and MangaLabo for the foreseeable future.

hihi i've just moved and managed to get net access (kinda, its like GPRS phone tethering QQ)
i'm currently downloading the new version (at 5kb/s!)

hopefully i'll get to look at it soon and translate stuffs!

Trev, or anybody that know how, can you show me how to update translation files,
or compile the new ones with macros and tables you put together?
yes! i've been meaning to put together a quick tutorial so people can carry it on, but i've just not had the time.

cool news about smithmicro! i wonder if their language files will be compatible with the JP version. if it continues to rely on exact version numbers then smithmicro will always be sloooow at releasing :l

also, what a fancy forum facelift!

Well ,it seems the new version messed up my brushes and overwrote the former version , not the settings but textures of the brushes.
Back to 1.1

Don't think you can downgrade, I have CSP 1.1.1 installation file but it's too huge to upload now.

I think you have the installation files here, both for 32 and 64 bits.
They are marked with the red star.
Let me know if I have to upload my copy.

thanks for the links memag!

but somehow, i can't get the translation to work with these.

I'm putting the "0A24C606-7FC7-4694-930C-9ED7407B9A18" from the CSPP-1.0.3_ENG-0.6b file, and the other 2 (742DEA58-ED6B-4402-BC11-20DFC6D08040 and E79C2AC5-BC3F-4838-9E87-F49B629F84B5) from the CSPP-1.1.1_ENG-0.0d file, into "CELSYS\CLIP STUDIO\CLIP STUDIO PAINT\resource\other"

Am i missing something?
Thanks in advance

ps. The Tools and Materials work fine even with 1.2.0

They should work with CSP1.1.1, try again, don't know what's the problem.
My brushes didn't transfer well, no textures, only bare bone setting for the brushes, which was fine for inks but not other brushes. Also that translation didn't allow CSP 1.2 to start.
Tools kept their names and settings but not all was transferred.
Still, it's in Japanese.

I found the official installer to 1.1.1 (just a messing with the patch allow to find it directly from clipstudio site as the file is still there, can i post the direct link here?)

but still no translation, just the tool names and some materials, like 1.2
At least the translation files dont crash it, but dont translate it as well.

I think i'll wait until the translation start working on 1.2, but 2 things i really need to know are:

the brush settings.
If they don't differ too much from 1.1.1 (like the position/order), could you please post a screenshot of it? (even the names in order would help, anything really)

the rotate screen hotkeys, so i can locate them under the hotkey options to setup the tablet shortcuts (i found the brush size by looking for "[" )

These two things would really save my day

Uninstall the 1.2 version if you had it installed prior to new 1.1.1 installation,
just to remove the files.
Then reinstall the 1.1.1 version.
Translation files work flawless over here. They do not work with 1.2 version at all.
