See, that's exactly why I am bitching!
I do not like such massive statements  founded on "air"

First, because you are so full of your self, second  technically ignorant, I dismissed your first remark on IllustStudio failing horrible to imitate SAI. But you just keep pushing it and your self forward. Claiming it being full of random randomness without any subtle moderation nor doubt,  did it ever cross your mind that you might have overlooked something while using it? Did you ever bother to ask?  And I am the type that : While one barks, I bite back.

I did take a look at your dA page and, for what your understand of tools and their usage and art in general goes, well... I am sorry, but, well this is an ugly thing to say... but,  darling? it's called color value, proportion,  composition and correct anatomy,  all of them  very boring or none existent in your gallery (for what realism goes and I find anime girls so bloody cliché and disgusting) But you are welcome to ignore this remark, as I said it's an ugly one and anyone without actual academic / CA - formation will never point it out to you, as probably shower with regular "OMFG you are such an awesome artist!" . I could give you class if you like, that's 30$ an hour, for see, I am sort of professional my self. :) (but please don't visit my dA page or anything for reference, it's full of my mental brainfarts)

Thanks for my defense Memag, hehe

One thing though :P
I'm a "she" xD

Can I take you up on that art class offer?xD jk I wish I were like you guys (and gals lol) who understand IS. The program is so foreign  to me (even though I bought it and used it for 6 months or so).

Hehe, if you are anywhere Belgium, I'd be more than happy to :)

But just forget the program, best art class you can ever have is with classic paper, charcoal pencils, inks and watercolors :P
You will understand much better how lighting, color, line  and shape work in digital ( mainly IS has a very similar built up as Photoshop/Open Canvas/SAI (well you can unlock the panels in SAI :P) or any other  generally used software really, filter, workspace -  menu wise), no matter what software you choose.

If you have any questions regarding IS or CSP, just ask.

Hahaha it would be interesting/kinda cool if we made our own version of CSP manual. Much akin to Clip's manuals that are super kawaii desu. Wasn't someone making a site for that kinda stuff and brushes/resources?

Sadly I'm not near Belgium...BUT if you ever take a vacation to the Bahamas I'd definitely take you up on that offer lol.

Oh I'm convinced analog is the best method to train yourself. Sadly I've grown addicted to digital user work habits. So when I draw using analog methods I end up looking for the undo function - my teachers in uni even make sport of me for it =(.

I understand the elements of art and Principles of design though. It's just when I use certain programs I'm dumbfounded. (Maybe it's because I don't understand the technical details or something). In short I just pic my software on how simple the layout and tools are to understand lol.

I'd like to ask what materials do you like using and is it easy to replicate in IS. Oh and what's your industry focus? =)

Well there is a way to migrate all IllustStudio tools in one run.
Just go to Tools menu->Environment migration->From IllustStudio...

..and select what you want transferred. Some custom brush textures didn't transfer properly
but you can drag and drop them, they will transfer correctly.Still need to adjust your brush to work as expected.

OH, and if you didn't know you can rearrange your tools however you want, in groups or separate them,by dragging them around...
Here I separated various tools, brushes and stuff to ease my workflow.

Also I have bunch of organic patterns, so if I find a way to export them as one library/file I will share 'em here.

and you base your "massive statements" on what? nothing but assumptions.
and again, so blinded with your fangirl rage.... you assume a lot... I won't even bother..
well.. I'm sorry to hear you are colorblind or just blind in general, and totally biased in your opinions.... shows your age kid.  grow up a bit and perhaps we could have a better discussion by then, but I'm not wasting any more of my time on you now. cheers~

Dude c'mon. Let's be more mature than this okay?

First of all you're wrong about that. Here's why - PS uses Opacity blending (placing circles of hue with varying opacity of a color on top of one another) IS, Painter, and SAI (even CSP) use hue blending. Secondly I'm pretty sure computers use RGB additive system, so no matter how many colors you add it all varies upon luminosity (adding all colors equal white) so you're either mixing tones onto your tints and shades and unhappy about that (which applies more so to the subtractive system of color mixing), mixing color compliments, or you honestly don't know color theory and you blame the tools for your lack of knowledge. And that is why she was lashed out - because your comments are misleading, and not because of "fangirl rage."

Secondly/Lastly, age doesn't matter in art. Some great artists are kids at heart, in stature and in age.

P.S.At least she offered lessons lol.

Edit: Adding a legend for casual readers
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Legend Subtractive Color System =RBY (pigment based - natural media)
Where Red blue and yellow are primary. Adding all colors = black
Additive= RGB (Light based - Computer monitors and stage lighting)
Where Red, Green and blue are primary. Adding all colors = white
Neutralizing = Natural = Earthy = Desaturated = Muddy

I want my 30 dollars now D=. Jk I hope that helps someone albeit being a tad bit off topic.

@ML.e
Urgh... go fuck your self, sounds like you need some. You know, release some pressure, will help you read and think straight.

I admire Kitl12 your effort, that is actually technically well explained, why did you want lessons again lol?

All of that being off topic and all, but this is the very damned  reason why we have CAD-software, with all filters and adjustments layers and opacity modes. When classic painters had to use their eye and knowledge of color theory, you can just hit , saturation and curves and straighten all values out, drop a texture, mask your atmospheric overlays...

An other idea comes to mind, as an extension of the previous proposition.

We should make a blog for CSP ( something like CGhub) users with (for now):

- Software manual
-FORUM (edit crap, I forgot a forum :P, well we could link to this one too)
- Tutaorials
- and Brush and Texture  bank
(- Galleries)

Tutorials and Manual could be left on the blog its self.
For Brushes and textures we could use Dropbox or a Database/Server (in case there is anyone around here capable of managing a sever) these links would have to be downloadable.

err lol :/

coda if you really wanted to prove your point, you could have just posted some screenshots!!
instead you took the first opportunity to attack his artwork?

if this guy was drawing stick figures in ms paint you'd have completely ignored him. why? because he's beneath you.
this is why you never see 'professionals' tea-bagging each others work openly - it smacks of jealousy and insecurity.

what does you finding anime girls disgusting have to do with colour algorithms of applications? maybe he just doesn't like the disney school of art, but does that really make him less knowledgeable about applications?
if you're going to criticise someone's work, at least to it constructively D:

be nice and stuff :l

Thanks trev!
Nice, "save to defaults" and "restore defaults",been missing that.

Is there a way to export whole sub-tool group, not one by one?

I know, I know...  and please accept my apology.
He was a pretentious prick (it wasn't about what and how he did, just the way it was thrown out, 'take a look at my gallery, see how "awesome" I am, I could teach you!" ) , I was an ass (consciously and purposefully)
See, you are aware of your flaws, you'd listen and ask question, and maybe you draw marvelous stick figures in MS paint! Doesn't put you beneath me at all. I wish I could make cartoons and readable stick figures, I suck at cartooning (urgh... no really, I do)  and Digitoonie is my freakking idol in here on this matter.
Believe me too I have major flaws, and I am more than aware of them, and I die inside every time i see Mathieu Lauffray edits an other album, and I sketch and ink till 3 am, to be even able to tip at the edge  of his quality.

Composing screenshots and explaining all, is urgh... time consuming, I am lazy and Kitl12 has actually bothered.

I did say it was dirty and ugly.

But being nice is boring :(
There are many nice people around, some1 has to be an ass to spice things up! And this was a perfect opportunity to be an ass...  and it felt good! And I am sated.
We can play nice now :D

Sowwyy!

Thank you for your effort, again.

I think a wordpress blog would be fine for all these things. And dropbox is a good idea too. We can show tutorials as well as how to purchase/install/input translation files on the blog. ;D
