Is it possible somehow to use the official English translation with a Japanese serial somehow? I'm grateful for the fan translation but using it can be frustrating. I've tried to e-mail them a few times to convert my key to English version but they refuse to, and I hate having to buy it again especially as I supported them early on and struggled through the only version available.   

It looks like 742DEA58-ED6B-4402-BC11-20DFC6D08040 is the file which triggers the Japanese key not working. Everything else in the English install works?

This is probably old news to people here.

I installed official English version, and then replaced 742DEA58-ED6B-4402-BC11-20DFC6D08040 from the fan translation to the English folder for it, and it works. If you delete the CELSYS folder from Documents and then open CSP fresh it will give you all English tools too, which is nice. Only thing that is missing is the actual language in the program's menus. For example, things that bother me are such menu option as "Integrated images and export" instead of what it should be "Export (Single Layer)"

Basic tests seem to work but there may still be issues somewhere.

If anyone has an idea on what to edit in the official 742DEA58-ED6B-4402-BC11-20DFC6D08040 to make it work with JP license that would be best...

Looks like license verification wants to still check against English license. So it will only work until it wants to verify again... not sure what triggers that. Requires to install JP version again again, verify, then switch back to EN.

You should read some old posts to do what you need to do.
Mine is simply (not so simply) the japanese-english translation of all these resource files.
Our goal is to be able to use Clipstudio paint to work. I'm not interested (and I don't have the time to do that) to make the Japanese version exactly the same as the English one. So I make extensive use of the Microsoft translator and Google, then reviewing the text, based on context. If there is a wrong menu item you just have to indicate to me and, in the next distribution (the next 1.84 of November 29) it will be included. Note however that "Integrated images and export" instead of "Export (Single Layer)" is much clearer to understand IMHO. Then consider that Clip Studio paint costs one tenth compared to Photoshop.

It's doable, but I don't think you'll find someone here that will be able to help with that type of stuff. I also don't think any of the fan translations have never been word for word of the English version anyways. If you want it to translate it yourself, you can look at previous posts about how to do that but just remember that things break quite easily.

And as someone who also does an alternate translation for personal use and to distribute to friends, it does take quite some time to translate everything and is one of the reasons why it hasn't been done already. But if you don't want to do that, you may just want to buy the English version when it goes on sale again.
