From the files in the resource folder, which is how you translate the UI. The largest file, filename starts as 742DEA58, is the one where majority of the UI elements come from. The second largest file, filename starts as E79C2AC5, is where the sub tool information is.

742DEA58 has the lock layer text while E79C2AC5 has text for the inclusion fill.

I used to translate those files line by line, in the early CSP translation days.
Now guys run scripts and it's much faster.
I thought you found the command somewhere in the program.

As far as commands in the files go, those can sit there for some time.
There was a case of extended blending modes for brushes and stuff that didn't  find it's way to CSP yet, written in the UI code lines.
Few iterations passed and the modes still weren't in the official CSP release. So it could be they are working on it, but it doesn't mean they will introduce them soon.

I found that writing to support and asking for a feature is usually the best way to let them know what the people want.

Yeah, there is scripting for it, but since I also tinker with the spacing of some of the squished UI elements, I do it manually so it's easier to jump to each section.
I also knew about the blend modes and how long it took to finally add them. That color one sure taunted me during the time it wasn't implemented yet DXxx. As for the locked layer commands, I don't know if they would ever add them. They may not, although I'm still hoping they will (even suggested it to support). The inclusion fill MAY be added though, since they seem to be pushing the animation features pretty hard.

You just might be surprised one day.
I actually love the update cycle and most of the stuff they add.

Note: The translation part of the work is not automatic. Someone (me) must cut and paste two times Japanese phrases from Passolo to GoogleTranslate and viceversa. The very first time I used a online paragraph translator to do the major text part. But since that time I have to translate the changed/added text line by line. It's often a lot of time :D

Sure crigo, no disrespect meant.
I just said it's faster than hex editing the lines. :)

Disappointed that the next official English version which was scheduled for late July is now rescheduled for September. The last official English release was Dec 2016.

I know they have more to do than just translating the actual application (documentation, etc.) but the slowness is really frustrating when fan translators (crigo and co., thanks!) on this board can get new JP versions shared within days. Not to mention fans release translations of EVERY version, unlike the official versions which skip 2 or 3 versions between releases.

I just had to vent about that. They need to do better and I really wish more customers would let them know if they agree.

Perhaps that September update is a bigger one.

Hi guys! May I ask where is found the folder in order to make your own back up about all downloaded/edited material (brushes, 3D, etc).

I rename or clasify my brushes and everytime I have to format my pc I always lose everything... -___-

I feel you. Assuming that the translation is still being done by Smith Micro and not the English CELSYS division, it is something they have been doing for years now. Manga Studio 4 fell behind the original Japanese version and they ended up abandoning updating it at some point, and that was way before CLIP STUDIO PAINT was released. Not to mention it too was a stripped down version of the original. Not saying that will be the fate of CLIP STUDIO PAINT, just something to keep in mind.

From what they said in tweets a few weeks back, not only will it be accumulative of versions they missed, but it will also be when CSP is compatible with that Surface dial thingy.

Also a word of advice, don't get the Font pack from Smith Micro. Not only is it a bit of a rip off, they also ripped and selling low quality knock offs made by BlamBot.

They are basically the same, both work great.
Some strings are translated differently, some are better, some worse (imo).
Both are free so there is no reason not to try both and see what suits you better.
It's great there are more people (still) working on this.
Thanks Vadeux and Crigo.

Also changed back to cirgo translation it still same... =__=;;

here's example:

This was from NeroNero translation of CSP 1.6.6 version

And this is brushes from computer or CS Assets that I saved before...  :P

I don't get it, can someone explain it?  ::)

I think your material names, paths, folders got changed in the translation process.
So when brush is looking for a tip graphics, it can't find it at the location since the name is changed.
I guess the material catalog is changed and so it creates this issue.

I never copy other translated files or rebuild the materials as it messed up my stuff too, in the past.
I just copy the translation files in the Program Files and I always keep my brushes and materials.
Also , keep some kind of a backup of your stuff, just to be safe.

thanks for that, I'm gonna back up some original one soon ^^

i'm using windows 10, creators update.

Ok I get it, when I reinstall clip studio paint 1.6.4, using neronero translation, it can read the brush shape material. But, when I update into 1.6.6 update, it can't read the brush shape even using neronero or cirgo.

Maybe there's a bug in here?
