The curve tool does not like the pressure tool
« on: February 22, 2012, 04:20:51 AM »
Recently last week I was drawing
I was linearting and the curve tool and the pen tool was working fine but, suddenly the pressure tool wouldn’t edit the curve tool, but it could work on pen tool and the line tool.
But, everything looks better with the curve tool.
I’ve tried to search the problem up on google but, I couldn’t find anything about the problem.
So help please?

Well, all I can think of is that maybe your Pressure setting in 'advanced' settings has become unchecked?

(Select the 'Curve' tool, go to 'Advanced Settings', and make sure the Press: has the Size box checked)

I hope that's all it is since I can't imagine what else it could be!

Good Luck!

There's nothing on other layers obscuring the pressure changes?

If not, perhaps the lines are being drawn at the mimimum weight, so you don't notice the pressure changes.

To check, click the 'Weight' tool, select a big brush size and click on your curve... Then select the 'Pressure' tool and scrub left or right to adjust the size of a point on the curve.

While doing so, notice the tooltip which tells you the pressure percentage (the % of the original curve's weight). With a bigger weight assigned to the curve, it should be easier to notice changes in pressure.
