My friend wasn't able to install 0.6.0 on his Mac for some reason so I await it as well. Also would rather have the latest version anyway ;)

Good luck (sounds like you don't need it though).

I just tred this. It seems really cool but one major issue here. I have a Wacom Cintiq. The pen works normally but when I move the pen onto the canvas area it moves way out of sync. It is at correct position on the right but as I move left it appears to move double the distance. This is on Windows. All other apps are working fine with the Cintiq. I have a Macbook and I haven't tried that yet but I'd want to use my PC for this app.

EDIT Ok, it works now by accident almost. I went into what is obviously some kind of preferences - eighth entry on the first menu. I ticked the box inside the third area down. Maybe somebody can translate what that is. I haven't tried any translation files here yet. I'm testing this on a quad core i7 2600, 64 bit, 8 gigs of RAM. This app flies.

WOW :o

Monstrue please sort out the translation. This app responds to Wacom pen rotation! Only Painter and Photoshop does that.

This is an awesome app. They must market this outside Japan. People are crying out for something like this. Corel Painter 12 is buggy with memory leaks and stuff. Photoshop is extortion cost. The best things are actually Gimp and Mypaint on Linux which is the OS I usally use.

IT'S DONE!!!! HOLLY MOTHER OF ALL THE GOODNESS!!!
This translation was a pain...! but anyway it was kinda fun  8)

Translated files to the version 0.7.0>> http://www.mediafire.com/?ufejr9m6cp1r8r4
just replace your files "742DEA58-ED6B-4402-BC11-20DFC6D08040" and "E79C2AC5-BC3F-4838-9E87-F49B629F84B5" for the translated files...It should work for all the versions 0.7.0:  x86, x64 and MAC ;)

Have fun!!

Note: for the Win version, only replace the files in the folder: "resource/other"...I don't know to MAC  ;D

Thanks a lot for this Monstrue. Now to see what this app can do.

AWESOME.

Now I can see where I had accidently set for pen rotation. The button under Dirctn in advanced subtools allows you to select pen rotation. This is serious because only Photoshop and Painter can do this. I have an art pen here with rotation.

It looks like this is the app we have been waiting for. All the festures we need for painting than can utilize our hardware properly without bloat and serious bugs. Painter 12 actually has some kind of serious memory issue that fills up your RAM - useless.

We need to get people trying this. Hopefully it will be properly marketed outside of Japan.

There is a size setting for brush called Magnification effect. This makes the brush thickness vary according to the zoom of the canvas. This means you can use massive brushes while zoomed out for larger effects such as atmosphere etc. I find myself struggling at high res in other apps to do simple things like this. This is a really important setting because there is no point in a large brush painting tiny details when you're zoomed out. It also means you can map out large detail quickly to begin with before getting into detail - for example if you are doing a landscape.

I'm loving this app already.

Pen rotation is a little buggy though. Not as good as in Painter.

Anyone tried importing pattern from image? It puts the image on a layer but you have tranformation tools to move the pattern around as tiled image.

I've been through most of this app now. It's really easy to use and the UI is easy to configure. You can customize what appears in the tool properties of the brushes. This is cool because different brushes have different purposes.

One query though. The brush patterns are obviously bitmaps of some kind but is there any way to create your own? They reside in a folder called Material and have an extension of .layer.

yep...this tool is just for create a background repeating an image as mozaic...but I think I did translated some kind of button called "import brush pattern" but looks to be hide because they not finish that option to this version... I hope that option work for the next release ^^
Anyway, this App is really interesting but I think the software we can use right now is just the tip of the iceberg... I mean , there are a lot of tools and option just locked in the previous version and a lot more in this one, just for example I found and I did translated this:

-Lineart Layer (I think is some of vector layer, just like in SAI)
-Pages
-Frames
-Shortcuts (setup for every single brush)
-...and the most important dialog menu: "Register Version"...I saw too: "...trial period has expired..." (I hate this one  >XP )
