trev - a page back :
http://translate.kaetemi.be/

I ran it on the demo, to no avail - I haven't found a set of instructions on how to use it .. this would be idea, opposed to hex editting every single release

It's a good idea! However, the language file has to retain the exact same structure.
If any of the bytes that aren't text get overwritten, moved or deleted, then CSP will fail to open and hang on launch.
That's why you've literally got to go through it manually and try to find English words that will fit into the byte order of the Japanese ones :(

Why not just make a few side by side images with the translations instead of editing the hex? This would be a bit more future proof and you start to remember what each command is after a few uses.

Hehe! I can't read or write Japanese so there's no way for me to translate the text unless I can copy/paste into translation/google apps :)
There's Japanese OCR software that lets you translate from screenshots/images, but they're really unreliable and you need each word as an image file for uploading.
I don't actually use menus at all, I'm 100% shortcuts - but I need to translate the menus so that I can see what I'm assigning shortcuts too! Or we could all just learn Japanese .'D

Hello!

I'm hoping someone could clarify some things for me. I've never bought a program via a downloading method before, so I'm clueless here. What happens when you buy it? Do they send you a serial? If they do, does it only work on one computer? What if I have to switch computers at some point? I've also never understood whether updates were included or not.

Haha, I really want to straighten some things out before I take the plunge. I've grown attached to the program over the past year.

Definitely mmg! :D

Cool whitetree! Looking forward to those manuals - CSP can get quite complicated!

Actually, because of the complexity of CSP, it might be good to give it its own sub-forum?
Plus this thread is getting quite confusing now :D
If we do get a new forum, I'll post the translation there too.
I'll message restorer about it.. :3

EDIT:

CSP English Translation can now be found in the CSP sub-forum!
Any updates will be posted there:

Thanks restorer! :D

dorkboy, great news! Glad to hear its functional on OSX.

mmg, i've got a .txt document of notes (it contains the hex line numbers of what's been translated) which might help you.
i'll try post it in the new thread, but the forum doesn't seem to accept the .txt file for some reason D:

CSP's UI renders type formatting in a really elegant manner, it's almost as if it was designed to accommodate for different languages.
The way in which all the language information is stored externally from the executables also suggests that multiple languages are a very real possibility.

I'm being hopeful of course, as IllustStudio didn't get any additional language releases QQ

Okay,thanks trev.
I did start translating the damn thing but I didn't pay attention to byte size and character spacing, so at one point it got corrupted and I just gave up.
I know it's tedious work and very time consuming.

Whenever I open CSP, it just stays open for about 2-5 seconds, then it quits.
What do I do? :/

First there is a forum for this program now..

Also how far does it get? Does it even show the GUI before stopping.  When you open  task manager is it still running in processes.  Did you modify this program and did you get your serial number to work?  Its probably just a bad installation. If its over vista OS.
