Question about Patches and Installing New Material
« on: January 13, 2011, 05:43:10 AM »
Hey guys,

Been playing around with Illust Studio, and must say, it is indeed quite awesome. Before that, I was using Manga Studio, Sai, and before that Photoshop. While they're all good in their own ways, I don't think any of them really match up to what IS has to offer.

But anyways, I've been having some problems with using new Material. I tried porting a bunch over from Manga Studio, but it's giving me some odd errors. About 90% of them will have a red X, and it gives me an error saying "data not available". I'm pretty much just copy-pasting the .tne files into appropriate folders. Is there something else I should be doing instead?

They are not compatible, since Manga studio uses the same materials for resolution that go up to 1200ppi and IS max res is 600ppi.
Don't worry about it, that's normal, you'll have to download IS mat from Clip or make some your self :)

Could you please give me a direct link for that? I don't understand JP at all & because of that i just can't locate where these materials are.

http://www.clip-studio.com/clip_site/material/search

Here you go :)

Thanks ^^
I do have some problems with loading the lwo files...most of them just won't open even though i'm doing everything right.
Here is one of the files that i can't open:
http://www.clip-studio.com/clip_site/material/search/detail/contentid/13623
And yet i can open this one:
http://www.clip-studio.com/clip_site/material/search/detail/contentid/14395
I have the newest version 1.2.0 so i shouldn't have any problems opening this file.
I just don't understand what's the problem... :/
