SAI General / Re: Straight Lines

You can use linework layers if you have a digital copy of the artwork you are trying to add lines to. If not, scroll down on your tools and you should find either legacy pen or binary pen(or both. Im to lazy to check). These 2 are the smoothest tools you have, and that cannot be altered.

Hello,
I've install Russian version from this site: http://sai.detstwo.com/sai/ru/#
When month passed this program renamed from "Paint Tool SAI" to "Easy Paint Tool SAI". But still works well.
I've not bought payed version yet.

Could somebody explain me what happened and why it still works?

Thanks and Regards,
Sergey

Renaming an application will generally not do anything to you. Also, as the app is not used online, versions that already work will not necessarily need to be replaced for something as simple as a name change. I would still advise checking to see if they added new features to the app with the update.

No viruses.

Zero for trial version (30 days). About $50 (just once) for full version.

Price depends on zone. It is $60 in Australia, and cheaper in america(im too lazy to check right now)

Im new to sai and ive seen vidoes of people doing pixle art with it. i have bought the full version now and i cant seem to see the "binary" tool they use for pixle art. do i have to dowload something or is there something wrong with my version of paint tool sai. :'(

Have you checked the whole list? there are 4 tools further down. If not, have you tried right-clicking an empty space? It should be here as it is default.

Another question that may need to be answered is:
Can you use sai after the license has expired?

The answer?: yes. You just loose the ability to save images, and to open existing images. You can just copy and paste existing single layer images to imitate opening them, and use snipping tool to save.

SAI 2 / Re: Paint Tool SAI 2.0 available for download

If you read carefully, it actually says that this is only a preview. I would follow the same rules as before, and be patient with it, as the previous version of sai2 was very unstable.

For everyone still with this unresolved problem:

This is the way sai is made. No-matter where you download it from, you get one month free "full", then need to buy to get back access. Sai has a specific code that can not be altered without breaking the application, so you can not get a free license for it.

If you have purchased a license, but do not know how to install it, there are instructions on systemax.

SAI General / Re: Can't zoom in?

Uuuum, ever consider the fact that you could be using the wrong method of zooming in/out? Try scrolling the mouse. That is the actual default zoom for your page. If you are having trouble with brush size, you press the number keys at the top of your keyboard.
