hey guys, ive been wondering if anybody knows how the eraser end of a tablet stylus works with this prog.  when i flip my stylus over to erase, i can see that i can choose from any of the erasers so long as they are in the default eraser tool section.  is it at all possible to select an eraser that is currently in a custom sub tool section?  cuz if i were to make an eraser, and then place it in my own custome sub tool area, it doesnt appear to let me select or use with the eraser end of my stylus.  so, i current have that eraser in the default eraser tool area so i can select and use it with the eraser end of my stylus.

this isnt exactly a problem, per se, but if there is a trick to utilizing the other end of the stylus i'd like to know i guess.
thanks ^^

Try some of the default interfaces, on e of those have mini tabs.
You can drag a window to a top bar (with two >>) and you will get the mini tab.
Took some time for me to learn how to do it, in the end it was discovered just by chance.
Also you can hold SHIFT when stareting up CSP, and it should reset it, you should be able to choose what to reset.

o jeez, thanks a lot, i never thought of dragging the palette onto the very top part of the palette im merging it with.  that worked, thanks

hey can someone tell me what i have to do to capture a [brush] texture?  i can see to get it to work

nvrmd, i finally figured out what i had to do.  i had to make sure that when converting the layer to gray, that ONLY the black square was highlighted. so it would read read the image black to transparent (And not black to white)

it only paints in black (the color that was in the selection that i colored.  does anyone know why, or how i can get it to paint in color?

EDIT/SOLVED(i think):  um, after compare my misbehaving brush tip material to normal ones i noticed they all had monochrome tagged next to them, so i looked around until i found an option called "convert layer" and sure enough one of the color types was monochrome.  after doing that it works now.  yay

well, u know, that's how it is.  there's this one MMO that's made by sega that me and my friends play.  since it's based in japan [originally] and the English servers were added secondary, most of the stuff we get is delayed (as they get it first).

i was just happy to have a full translation and the functionallity at least

SAI in English / Re: cannot create new documents or open other things

hmmm, actually i just discovered that u can uncheck the SAI file viewer and use the win7 default viewer instead.  that was pretty much the reason for switching it to the correct local, because the viewer would not recognize japanese characters or filepaths with japanese characters.  but now that i can switch to windows default file viewer it's having no problem.

soo.. fixed but not the way i thought it would (and technically the initially issue does still remain so i'll certainly hear a solution if anyone has one)

using win7
i tried doing that thing where u use that applocale program to open just one non-unicode program, so i can keep my US locale, and for some reason it will only load recent documents...  here's what i get every time:
but if i select anything from the recent list it loads those fine

and what did Trev mean by "properly released"?  is that why it says CR at the end?

umm, actually if u try to run Sai on windows 8 ur computer will explode.

naaah, jk ;p
i would assume it would work because im pretty sure windows 8 is a 64 bit operating system with 32 bit compatibility, which is why most other given programs would work.  there might be one or two complications but id give it a try.

>w<   an elemap, is one of the 2 types of brush shape files (the other being 'blotmap').  If u go into Sai's program folder, there is a folder named 'elemap', in there are most of ur brush shapes.
