Hey guys, sorry for double posting. But great news! There's instructions for a mac AND windows port for azpainter! unfortunately, pen pressure doesn't work on windows. :C it works on mac though!! My googlefu is weak, so that was all I could find.

Windows port w/ cygwin (no pen pressure): [link]
Mac port: [link]

Oooh, you beat me to this update, Scribblezzz, ha ha! You don't know me, but nice to see you around again. (:

LOVE the new upgrades to both AzPainter and AzDrawing! Azel ended up releasing these early! You can also get the language adjusted to English. The only thing I've noticed is that the Linux versions do not recognize my Wacom's eraser end and just uses the default tool that was set to the pen. Guys know how to fix this or if there is a workaround? :c

I have to say, if you wanted to switch to Linux to complete digital art, now is a great time to do it. I'm using this combination now, and while I do like Windows and Mac alike and their offered programs,
Linux has also become far more capable in years in regards to this.

With AzDrawing and AzPainter in the mix now along side Gimp, Krita, MyPaint, Inkscape, Synfig, and Blender, you have a very robust and polished set of tools that work incredibly well! All of which open source and free.

Restorer: Azel switched his operating to Ubuntu and does all his programming work there now. All of his latest releases have been made for Linux only, so, there are no Windows versions of his new revamped versions of AzDrawing and AzPainter. AzDrawing is now on 1.2 and AzPainter is now 1.0.0.
I'm dual-booting now, and it's the best decision I have ever made xD The only thing that bugs me about mint is that it feels a bit clunkier (even though I have to admit is very very pretty). I super love the filesystem though!! No more annoying program data in my documents!

I do miss my games though. :C No freecell for me, haha

Anywho, I was here to inform you peeps that Azel updated Azpainter to 1.0.1! Looks like some bug fixes.

Azpainter for Linux is out and it's azdrawing2 and azpainter2's beautiful lovechild:

I'm actually considering just moving to Linux now that it's out hehe;; :33

I've attempted to make a cygwin port (which went quite swimmingly /sarcasm)
If anyone's got more programming juju we'd all really appreciate it, here's a screenshot of the error I've had: http://i.imgur.com/BI4VpRn.png

It can crop images. I'm not sure about the transform, though. In the toolbox, select the edit box(a square with an arrow pointing to it) then click the last button. Select the image you want to crop then voila! (I think this is available in Azdrawing 2.0 and up?)

Hope this helps. c:

!!! I read somewhere that it was mac also! am I an idiot? Jeeze. I guess I am.
Well, dang it, Japan. I want a good inking program too, share, will you? Eesh.

I heard Azel's moving on to Linux, so he is abandoning us. D: Poor windows and Mac.

What do you mean by OSX something? Is it your operating system? Azdrawing and azpainter are windows programs, unless you run a virtual... thingy. >_> I forget.

Even a free forum, where we can share tips and brushes and the like. What do you think?

I checked out your blog, Dukal. I like it, even if I don't understand Spanish. o3o

I also love the brushes you upload. XD I'm downloading all of them! By the way, how do you make your brushes? I want to try my hand at it myself.

I think the brush lags because of the hugefile--Azpainter and azdrawing were created with small file sizes in mind.  :D <--XD

Wow, it's been a while since I've been to the forum. Nice to know some people are interested in the software.  Can anyone here read Japanese?

It's a discussion on 2ch about azdrawing. I don't understand Japanese, so I would like to know what they're talking about.

Dukal, these are great! Downloading them now. ;D On the other hand, Azel says he'll stop developing for windows now. It still has a lot of potential, you know.

Wish he'll release it as open-source or something. o3o I'm sure there are a lot of people who want to contribute to the software.

yes I like it too ^^
to the update file just replace the files... by the way the update fix the crashes with the brushes settings  ;)

Ah. I knew it! <3 Anyway, is there any chance Azpainter2 would be updated to match Azdrawing2? There's a lot of features in Azdrawing2 now, Azpainter is left behind.

//there's actually a new update (in japanese though, so I can't use it) for azpainter2 but it was a long time ago and it does not implement the pretty new features azdrawing has. >3<

Like the brushes. Oh gosh, the brushes are the best~ <3

Sorry for double-posting~ I'm so happy right now haha. CB

Lots of pretty new changes that I've always wanted to happen. ouo You can now specify the resolution and there is additional stuff for layers, can't figure it out yet. But it D: It crashed... only when I try to use the brush settings. OTL

EDIT: No brushes in azpainter2beta (the second one). Probably supposed to replace the original file, but I'm not sure.

(Total azpainter fangirling squee~ <3)

General / AZMEDIA UPDATE
« on: March 31, 2011, 09:03:43 AM »
I just checked the site recently and apparently there is a new version of Azdrawing and Azpainter.

I actually haven't tried them out yet, but Azdrawing is already in english. As for Azpainter, gaaah. ;_; I can't read Japanese. Does anyone know how to translate programs? I'd do it myself if I have to. I love this program that much.
