SAI General / Re: Q: SAI /Pressure Sensitivity
« on: April 24, 2009, 01:55:58 AM »
Mine hasn't been working, either. It worked before, and due to malfunctions, I had to reinstall SAI, and now it doesn't work. o.o All my setting seem to be the same, so I don't see why it's all of a sudden like this (plus...why can't I save?!?)

All you have to do is hit Prtscr/Sysrq and open a program that comes wit your comp called paint and then hit ctrl and V at the same time...and save it on there  ;D hope i helped!  ;D

Yeah, that's fine and dandy...y'know, if you don't mind your images being of sucky quality and not being able to fix them up later.

My SAI's been doing the same thing for the past YEAR, and I've reinstalled with no progress. And it sucks, because it started happening like a month after I dished out the fifty dollars for the license. It feels like a waste, now.

^ That's what I was thinking, but how am I suppossed to do that when my computer doesn't even register the tablet in the Control Panel?

SAI General / Pen Tool Sensativity
« on: October 07, 2008, 06:14:49 AM »
So, SAI won't register the pen sensativity on my tablet. I've checked the misc.ini file, and the tool sensativity or whatever is set to 0. I think it's a problem within my computer and not SAI, because the scroll tool on it also won't work, and unlike my other computers, the tablet only registers in the center square of the actual tablet, not the entire thing (if you understood that). I don't honestly know how to fix the problem and was wondering if anyone else did. I went into the control panel on my computer, and it didn't seem to even register that I had a tablet connected to my computer (even while I'm using my tablet to check things out). Any ideas?

So in other words your trial ran out?

//yes, i *love* bumping my post count. that's the only reason im here.. to bump my post count.//

Well, your previous post honestly deserved a response like mine. I had asked for help, and you'd simply made a face. Good job. Good job.

//it just sounds like you don't know how to operate your own computer?
you've provided no history of the symptoms at all (other than 'it worked, now it doesnt') and no system spec - that's not exactly great information for problem solving, is it?//

Wow, epic fail dude. Really.
I explained EXACTLY what happens when I try to save anything. The program freezes and I have to CTRL>ALT>DELETE to close out. How is that not explaining? Do you want me to explain it real in-depth, tell it like a story? Shall I draw pictures to go along with it, like a story book? Would that help? -_-

//Yes i would also say it's the specs...i found out that usually program blocks(freezes) when the specs of you the comp. are too low for it.Maybe you're CPU usage is at to high, you need more RAM.I encountered with some programs that were at boundary with my RAM specs & i got then very slow PC & in the end the program froze.//

Nope. SAI's the only thing so far to go awry, and when I open the task manager to close out of SAI, it doesn't show any excessive usage or anything. Otherwise the program would freeze every now and again during use as well. It's just that the file menu freezes it, nothing else. No matter how small the image file and whether or not I have anything else running on my computer at the time.

//Also you can't download license all you want, there is a monthly limitation but it's high,so don't worry...just don't over do it or you're SAI account will get banned.//

Hadn't planned on that, it's just a matter of getting back my liscence so I can reinstall it. I only need to reinstall the once, I just don't have the information I need right now.

//SAI is one of the best and most enjoyable editing apps i've ever used. //

Oh, same here, trust me. It's just that it's pissing me off now that it's not working anymore, and I was looking for a solution to the problem (which apparently doesn't exist, aside from reinstalling SAI and then reloading the liscence, which I don't HAVE). I wasn't dissing SAI, and I'm not saying that it's not a computer problem. I'm more than certain my sister downloaded a virus while she was downloading music. But SAI's the only thing being affected (even Paint Shop Pro works fine, and it lags all the time from CPU usage), and I wasn't sure if anyone had had a similar problem in the past and knew an easier way to fix it.

OK, clearly people don't give two shits as to helping and only care about raising their post count (as seen above >.>).

I already bought SAI, and now it's looking like I'm going to have to uninstall and reinstall in order to get it to work again. How do I get the codes again for redownloading the certificate? I'm also getting another computer and need the code for that, so, srsly, how do I do that? Because I am NOT paying for it again, flat out.

SAI's seriously starting to piss me the fuck off. It all started lasxt night, after I'd spent hours finishing one of my pictures. Everything worked fine, but then all of a sudden I went back to change something, and it stopped working. Every time I click on File or some shit, it goes to load, but then jst suddenly stops and becomes totally unresponsive. Srsly, wtf?!? And now it's still not working no matter how many times I restart my computer, which, really, is getting pretty fucking annoying at this point.

Could be useful to have a forum section where we can post works in progress, cause it seems a bit overkill to spam the gallery with those ^^

Agreed. That could turn disastrous if everyone decides to start putting up all their WIPs! xD

Here's a whole list of graphics software, including a column containing specifically freeware: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_raster_graphics_editors
I'm not sure if there's any that have the same color mixing trick that SAI does, but if you really want it, then I believe it's worth it's price.

Wow, that's pretty cool, thanks for the list! I'll have to check some of those out! x3

Wow, that sucks. I can understand not wanting to switch just to hit something on the menu, sounds like a real pain! ^^'

currently coppermine gallery don't support this feature properly.
when I will have free time, maybe I patch it.

that's possible. but not right now (no free time  :'( )

I understand! ^^' Keeping the site up and everything seems like a lot of work in itself, let alone updating and everything. :3

SAI General / Re: For users using Sai (Trial)

What a coincidence, it seems that after a few hours I posted this poll, Systemax put up the alternative payment method (Paypal) for foreigners.  ;D

I hope everyone that intended to buy the program is able to do so now.

That's convenient! x3

SAI General / Re: Sai high RAM consumption
« on: April 04, 2008, 03:17:08 AM »
It tends to eat a good bit of RAM for me, too, but it's not too bad. Like Kaetemi said, once I'm done with a layer for sure, I merge it down so I've got less layers floating about (otherwise I don't think my computer would be able to function >.<)
