According to the english CSP facebook page:
"how come english and japanese CSP are two different products? This is not
how most software works, the software should just have multiple language
options. Please stop screwing the consumer."

CLIP STUDIO PAINT "A multi-language option will e installed in the future.
We appreciate your patience for this inconvenience."

Maybe not the answers some wanted, but the answer they gave could be interpreted different ways.

Maybe they will add english options to the Japanese licenses and then all is solved

i hope!! :D

Haha, don't blame you. I'm still using CSP mainly because of this new sexy black interface. •¬•
AND we can open  Manga Studio v.4 page files now (.cpg) and save them into .lip files :D

The license allows installation on two machines.

I would use a different rar extractor.  Try UnRarX.

Ditto - I have run into this before, and it is usually the unrar program.  StuffIt Extractor tends to work well also.

About CSP Localization on Mac.
Filter Localization
Edit files "CLIP STUDIO PAINT\PlugIn\***.bundle\Contents\Resources\English.lproj\InfoPlist.strings"

Other app Localization
Enter Every app's "Contents" folder.
Edit Info.plist > Modify <string>Japanese</string> to <string>English</string>

Enter "Resources" folder.
If there have no "English.lproj" folder. You can rename "Janpanese.lproj" Or create one.

Enter "English.lproj" folder.
Edit and translae *.strings and *.nib files.

ps. I only work on Windows. We can edit .strings files with any Text Editor.
And Edit .nib files with "plist Editor for Windows".

Great to know! Thanks for the tip :)

Just a quick note for anyone using the online spreadsheet:
If you want to see if your translation will fit into the hex file, use the app Xelloss posted eariler (PC only):

Paste this into the upper section and hit 'To' to see how it works:
Code: [Select]
Find "これが収まる"
Replace "This will fit"

Find "これは適合しません"
Replace "This will not fit because the string is too long"

If it fits, it will display the string in hex. If it doesn't fit, it outputs text.
Generally 1 Japanese character equals about 3 English characters, e.g "黒" = "Blk"

Doh!  I didn't realize that, sorry.  I'm on  a Mac so I will just work on manually counting out the translations.
I searched but can't seem to find where the main "Filter" drop down menu options are in the of them is a flyout with the title ぼかし

But the Main drop down menus are now spaced much better, really great update thank you!!!

This program just gets better and better!

A couple notes that may be of interest regarding updates:

1.01 installs and works FINE with the translation files on Mac as far as I can see.

The 1.02 RC version (mac) installs side by side with your 1.01 version(so it won't affect 1.01), but has issues with the translation menu bar shows up, but none of the palettes appear unless I revert to the standard JP language files.

There is a new 1.01 update available or Mac now, and a 1.02 update or both Mac and Win June 27.

Not sure if these affect the translation files, but thought I would mention it.

I have the program for mac and can't seem to find this resource folder. Can someone give me a little more detail? Thanks
Right click on the file and select "Show package contents"...browse to the folder from there.

And an unrelated side note to everyone else, you can change brush size on the fly like in Photoshop by holding Cmd +Alt :)
