SAI 2 / Re: Trouble with sai

Well, if it ever happens again, the F11 key will toggle through the full screen modes. That should get you back to a place where you can use it.

I couldn't figure out what the problem was until I realized that you were using a Marker tool.
Have you tried the same thing with a brush tool instead of the marker tool? You lose the blend-by-pressure setting but it seems to duplicate your Opencanvas stroke in appearance at least.

If you are not doing Manga, then EX is probably not for you: Pro is excellent!
And Clipstudio fully utilizes the pressure sensitivity of Wacom tablets (I've tried it with Bamboo, Intuos, and Cintiq ... all 'jizzle' functional!)
And yes, this is likely the closest you'll get to SAI on a Mac without emulator silliness.

I guess I'm not understanding EXACTLY what it is you're having the trouble with.
If those little red arrows are trying to point out some problem with the colour, I just can't see it (not knowing what you were trying to do or achieve). Could you describe exactly what you expected to see versus what actually happens?
By the way, which version of SAI is that?

Easy enough ... if you still have the registration information they sent you when you set it up before.
You need to just repeat the procedure you used then (summarized below, reprinted from RESTORERS' instructions elsewhere on this site) using the new 'System ID' from your new computer (see step 13 below).
Sadly, if you have lost your registration information Systemax sent you when you purchased it the first time, I know of no way to restore things other than buying a new licence (and remembering to print or otherwise store that confirmation email so you don't loose it again!).
10) You should receive another email from SYSTEMAX (subject: "SYSTEMAX Online Shop", from: shop@systemax.jp). It will look like that: http://images.detstwo.com/view/Rb5QgH.png
11) go to https://www.systemax.jp/en/license.html, DO NOT close the page.
12) Open last email, received from SYSTEMAX (subject: "SYSTEMAX Online Shop", from: shop@systemax.jp, looks like http://images.detstwo.com/view/Rb5QgH.png)
12) copy from last email received from SYSTEMAX: "Software License Number" and "Certificate Download Password" to opened page. DO NOT copy "Password Character Type" - is not required.
13) DO NOT close page
13) Open Paint Tool SAI, click "Others" (in menu), click "System ID"
14) Copy System ID and paste it on opened page in "Your PC's System ID"
15) Click "Download Software License Certificate"
16) Download certificate file ("sai-<some numbers here>.slc", for example "sai-010021195166.slc") and save this file on Desktop
17) DO NOT run this file

SAI General / Re: Can SAI save in 300 DPI?
« on: January 11, 2014, 03:16:14 AM »
Well, I just tested it against mine: I created a 300 dpi file and saved it as a SAI file, a PSD file, and a JPG file. I then opened the PSD and JPG in Photoshop: for both files pixel size remained the same and pixel density remained at 300 dpi.
So I'm not sure what to tell you about this. I'm assuming that you are discovering the pixel density issue when using the 'Image Size' menu item in photoshop?

Wamped: I've installed the translation on both Mac OSX and my Windows PC, and both will report 1.2.7 after the translation pack is installed, but they are both really 1.2.8.

Try increasing your stabilizer value (it's on the menu bar at the top of the screen). You may have to experiment a little to get it perfect.

SAI General / Re: SAI Not Working After Purchasing Full Version
« on: August 30, 2013, 06:51:51 PM »
You have purchased the full version ... online I would assume.
Just a couple of things to check off your list:
- You took the info they sent you and did the online registration required to downloaded the license file?
- You put the license file you downloaded into the SAI folder and restarted sai?

Ah, that! Works great on SAI.
Go into the SAI options menu again, then to the tools tab. Make sure the two check boxes at the top are checked (which turns on the behavior you are referring to).

Ah, okay. You don't want to use the eraser ... you just want to ... um ... erase.
Well, I'm going to have to get back to you on that. I don't use flash so I don't know what kind of erase effect you are expecting. I might have some time this weekend to install Flash and see what you mean.
IF it is something that SAI can do BY ITSELF with a key-press or tool selection, then you can program the button keys to do it. But if you are trying to get SAI to do something that only Flash can do then you might be out of luck.
EDIT: Also keep in mind that by default, SAI's 'E' is set to ERASE CANVAS, not an eraser tool (which is different).

Sorry, I guess I wasn't being clear.
In your Wacom Preferences, you need to choose 'default' from the options for each pen button ... not erase, not keystrokes, just the entry called 'default'.
Once the Wacom is set that way, THEN you go into SAI (Options menu, Digitizer settings) and set up your pen buttons THERE. You can set them to any key press or tool option available in SAI. So, if you have a button set up for 'erase' in SAI, you can 'map' it there.
If the Wacom Preferences are set anywhere but at the entry called default, neither the Wacom Preference you have set nor the SAI digitizer settings in OPTION will function correctly.

SAI likes to control the pen buttons itself.
SO ... go into your Wacom Prefs and set the tablet pen buttons to 'default'. Hopefully you have an Intuos tablet (or similar) and not the Bamboo, so that you can set up what your buttons do per application.
Then, go into SAI, Options Menu, under 'Digitizer Support'. You'll see at the bottom a place to set up what the keys of your tablet do. (I personally have one set to Ctrl+Z for undo and other set for Ctrl+Alt for brush resizing).

SAI General / Re: Problem with Two Cursors. Help!
« on: August 20, 2013, 06:51:08 PM »
So ... have no idea if this would be the issue (don't have the hardware here to tinker, sorry!), but have you tried adusting the 'tabletcursormode' in the misc file? Go into your SAI folder, open misc (with notepad), and turn 'tabletcursormode'=1, then restart SAI. Does that help at all?
