It's doable, but I don't think you'll find someone here that will be able to help with that type of stuff. I also don't think any of the fan translations have never been word for word of the English version anyways. If you want it to translate it yourself, you can look at previous posts about how to do that but just remember that things break quite easily.

And as someone who also does an alternate translation for personal use and to distribute to friends, it does take quite some time to translate everything and is one of the reasons why it hasn't been done already. But if you don't want to do that, you may just want to buy the English version when it goes on sale again.

Disappointed that the next official English version which was scheduled for late July is now rescheduled for September. The last official English release was Dec 2016.
I feel you. Assuming that the translation is still being done by Smith Micro and not the English CELSYS division, it is something they have been doing for years now. Manga Studio 4 fell behind the original Japanese version and they ended up abandoning updating it at some point, and that was way before CLIP STUDIO PAINT was released. Not to mention it too was a stripped down version of the original. Not saying that will be the fate of CLIP STUDIO PAINT, just something to keep in mind.

Perhaps that September update is a bigger one.
From what they said in tweets a few weeks back, not only will it be accumulative of versions they missed, but it will also be when CSP is compatible with that Surface dial thingy.

Also a word of advice, don't get the Font pack from Smith Micro. Not only is it a bit of a rip off, they also ripped and selling low quality knock offs made by BlamBot.

Yeah, there is scripting for it, but since I also tinker with the spacing of some of the squished UI elements, I do it manually so it's easier to jump to each section.
I also knew about the blend modes and how long it took to finally add them. That color one sure taunted me during the time it wasn't implemented yet DXxx. As for the locked layer commands, I don't know if they would ever add them. They may not, although I'm still hoping they will (even suggested it to support). The inclusion fill MAY be added though, since they seem to be pushing the animation features pretty hard.

From the files in the resource folder, which is how you translate the UI. The largest file, filename starts as 742DEA58, is the one where majority of the UI elements come from. The second largest file, filename starts as E79C2AC5, is where the sub tool information is.

742DEA58 has the lock layer text while E79C2AC5 has text for the inclusion fill.

Yeah, I think those commands were there since the beta or when it was initially released, can't remember. "Lock position" and "Lock image pixels" are actually two additional lock commands. How the text is listed, it is "Lock layer", "Lock transparent pixels", "Lock image pixels", and then "Lock position". The two non-implemented commands also have text for refine conditions in the search layer palette, and text for history, auto action, and command bar.

Since they are the same names given for the commands in Photoshop, they may act similar.
If that is the case, then "Lock position" would prevent moving the image pixels, but you would be allowed to paint on the layer (something I wanted for awhile now DX). And "Lock image pixels" would prevent you from painting on the layer, but you would be allowed to move the image pixels.

Whoops, looks like notification e-mails stopped for this thread.

"Lock position" and "lock image pixels" are for layers, the same commands you can use in Photoshop.

"Inclusion Fill" would be an added setting for the fill tool, probably the gradient tool, and maybe the waterline fill (cough cough contour fill cough) as well. Not sure on the specifics of it, but it will act like it did in RETAS STUDIO. More info about it here. (It's the fourth section down)
Below is an example of what it does:

[Inclusion Fill]= Off                               [Inclusion Fill]= On
Also, since I couldn't find any other program that has something similar in English, I've been calling it "Inclusion Fill", as it's the most common term that pops up when translated. But it might be more like "Include(d) when filling", "included for filling", or something along those lines.
The raw line is: 含み塗り (Inclusion Fill)
And the highlighted line is: 含み塗りを使用するかどうかを設定します (Set whether to use inclusion fill)
And looks like there will be a color button: ボタン押下で含み塗り対象色を指定します (Specify the target color to be included by pressing the button)

General / Re: what is clip studio downloading/syncing here?

Yeah, the English version of CLIP STUDIO has a stripped down interface, but some of the features still run when you start it. It looks like you have an account, so it is most likely syncing the material you installed locally to the cloud. This is not something you can disable until they finally embrace this useful software and open up more of the menu items.

With this stripped down version, you cannot easily check what is installed. But if you click the gear icon (settings) > "Location of Materials" you can see the path where they download to. You can also change that path to another directory if you want, as long as it doesn't contain folders called material and documents, and it's not located on removable media.

You can actually check in the material folder to see material that are installed, but with how they organize it folder-wise, it can get confusing fast.

I wonder when they will add the "lock position" and "lock image pixels" functions. The placeholder text have been there since 1.2.

Also, looks like they will try to add the "Inclusion Fill" from RETAS STUDIO to help with coloring animation.

Thanks ;u; And of course I found some errors after I uploaded it. I'll upload an updated version for it since some of it regards missing text. OTL

CLIP STUDIO PAINT 1.6.4 Translation Ver 1.2 (CLIP STUDIO translation files included)

And yeah, for an update that has "Creator" in the name, it sure breaks a lot of programs that creators use. I heard about the issues it had caused while Insiders had it and forced Win 10 from installing updates so I wouldn't have to deal with that headache.

Since it hasn't been updated in a while, I guess I can share this while this version is still current. Sometimes I alter translations that are linked here for me and my friend. I was able to change some of the UI so text weren't squished in some dialogs. It's not completely done yet, but as I am not working on it currently, I wanted to share it. I would help in doing the translations when new versions come out, but I am not fast enough to do so :c
