As an update, SAI now runs on my Macbook Pro seamlessly. No Windows.

Seeing all these pictures makes me want SAI really badly. I can't understand how a sketch becomes a colorful work of art.. there must be some secret that I am missing.

You're right--I tried deleting it and it did display in Japanese.

I was contemplating how to best run this.. man, I do *not* want Windows. I am not certain where the issue would lie.. I would assume the issue would be in the .exe file, but without the source code, there's nothing I can do with that, as the code has been jumbled--and rightly so--for security purposes.

There are various softwares that have the capability to revert the jumbled text back to actual source code, but I don't want to mess everything up.

I can now run SAI on this Mac using a program called CrossOver. However, when I try to actually open SAI, it says I don't have administrator rights, and therefore cannot open it. How can I disable this?

EDIT: I noticed in the languages.conf file, this string is present:


Error_SetupNeedAdmin      = "SAI can not complete setup process because current user dose not have administrator right. Please launch SAI with one of the following way.\n\n - Logon as administrator and launch SAI\n\n - Right click SAI program file -> [Run As Other User]→Enter administrator account (Windows 2000/XP)\n\n - Right click SAI program file -> [Run As Administrator] (Windows Vista)"

If I delete it, can I use SAI then?

I am not certain where I should post this.

I see that some talented individuals have created SAI in English as opposed to Japanese.. however..

I noticed the only download files are in a Windows format, .exe.

Is there a version for Mac?
