SAI General / Re: Paint tool sai- Help?
« on: December 21, 2018, 02:54:16 PM »
hi. did you try out the tablet in other painting soft? just to narrow the issue to sai or the tablet itself.

please try medibang paint, krita, gimp and any other soft to check out that your tablet is working properly.

also, which windows version you have?
windows 7, vista, 8, 10? 32 bits? 64 bits?

thanks

please check what you moved, if it's not selected since that may be inside the selection and so, no drawing tool will work outside the selection.

when you move the element, please press CTRL + D to clear selection.

let us know if that helped.  :)

SAI in English / Re: How do I split into two screens?
« on: July 24, 2018, 03:48:29 PM »
hi, welcome.

to do a split or dual canvas view, you have to do this

1) go to upper options: OTHER and drop down the menu
2) select KEYBOARD SHORTCUT
3) in this window, select SHIFT (on the upper left part) and in the below options, select SHIFT + 1
4) with SHIFT + 1 highlighted, on the right, go to VIEW and drop down the menu and select CREATE NEW VIEW and then hit OK
5) while creating a new canvas, this one is full windowed. press the resize button on the top left (the grey box) this will resize the current canvas to a much smaller window.
6) press SHIFT + 1 and a new canvas will be opened.

resize to your desired size each window and work on whichever you want. the work on one canvas is reflected on the otherone.

here is an image of the options.

let me know if helped or not.

« on: July 19, 2018, 05:22:05 PM »
can you check these steps?

https://www.windowscentral.com/how-disable-windows-ink-workspace-windows-10

proceed with this and..

ugee.net/upload/download/20170928/59cc6f9f9f48e.zip

this is the latest driver. (i don't know if you have a cd driver, but even so, try to use that)

but first, disable the windows INK and test it out (when it's done, restart de pc)

let me know again  ;D

hi chloe.
it could be an isolated issue with SAI.
also, if you installed your tablet, a tablet control panel that you can check if the pen pressure is working properly.

SAI 1.X have various issues with win7 and win10. not always, and varies from user to user. but mostly this issue regarding the pressure, is quite related to various.

please try this.

disconnect the tablet.
restart de pc
open SAI with RIGHT CLICK and RUN AS ADMIN.
then connect tablet and test.

once again, close SAI (with tablet connected) and then, open again SAI with ADMIN RIGHTS.

let us know what happened.
 :)

well. to be honest. Sai 1.x is outdated. there is no more updates for that version.

i've talked to koji komatsu twice and was aware about various issues regarding windows and wacom updates. that's why he and his devs (his not alone making the SAI) and then released the SAI 2.

currently the SAI 2 works without issue.

you should try and download the trial version and test it out

https://www.systemax.jp/en/sai/devdept.html

check it and see if works out. then you can check with your previous purchase, request the activation for the SAI 2.

if other drawing soft works ok, then.. Sai is sadly, outdated. :(

one of the main issues with most tablets, is the deadly windows 10.
i had an issue with my huion kamvas that was resolved with the actual driver.
the wacom intuos PTS is the blue one? anyway, you may try to reinstall it, but install it as an ADMIN.

left click over the install icon and then proceed.

the best practice for this process is this

1 ) control panel -> programs and features -> and unistall.
2 ) unplugg the tablet.
3 ) search for the tablet driver and have ir at hand (the desktop is good place)
4 ) restart
5 ) install the drivers with ADMIN RIGHTS
6 ) wait 'till end and RESTART (DO NOT PLUG THE TABLET!)
7 ) call de RUN (windows key + R) and type services.msc
8 ) check for any WACOM service is AUTOMATIC and STARTED
9 ) if all ok, connect the tablet.
10 ) try SAI (if you have other drawing soft, test it. i recommend medibang paint and firealpaca)

let us know.  :)

1) which version of sai do you use?
2) which wacom tablet do you have?
3) which windows do you have?
4) which driver did you install?

let me know this to check on what I can help you (lately i've become somehow a IT support haha)  ;D

12
the last thing is to search a prior version of the driver which have this feature installed.

13
is this happening to sai only or did occur with other paint software?

since sai 1.x have so many compatibility issues, most people, should migrate to sai 2.0 as the license provide this option.

if you can't migrate, then, consider to change soft as medibang, firealpaca, clip studio paint or any other software.

let us know if this happends only with sai or all your programs.

General Discussion / Re: My saved files are too small!
« on: June 10, 2018, 06:57:58 PM »
did you check your resolution? the canvas size? and the amount of layers did you use?

the more resolution you apply to the canvas when you start off a new work, it will come up with the space you want so badly  ;D

think about a 3000x3000 pixel sized and 300 dpi resolution canvas.

also, the color amount you use and layers, will help to build up those lazy files! keep it up!

jokes aside, hope that help to clarify your concern.  :)

If you bought it, you should have a copy of the license in your mail. that same license, you can apply it as it explains in the official site
