I'm trying to use the new translation but it keeps saying the password is incorrect. Does this when I manually type it in and copy/paste it. :C

I have a different dilemma. I bought MSEX5 a couple months ago but had I known that there would have been an english version of CSP I would have saved my money. I like software that is constantly updated. Smith Micros history with MS4 updates really worries me about MS5. Now I'm wondering if I should save up my money again.

I know it is still early, but how much further along is CSP compared to its North American version?

Since Smith Micro and Celsys are business partners, and if Celsys has their own people providing an english translation for CSP, is there any reason why MS5 from now on can't have updates as frequent as CSP english?

BTW, I contacted Celsys to inquire if my MS5EX license is compatible with the upcoming CSP english software. They said NO.
Smith Micro said the next update should be schedule for October. SM seems to clump updates together so you guys might be at least one version behind MS5 which isn't bad, per say? I wouldn't mind it being one update behind if Smith constantly updates and gives us word when the next one's due, but they tend to release it at random.

It's not that hard. Just install the english trial and switch the files over, badda bing. Would be nice if they had a language installer in the installation though.

WTF is Clip Studio Debut though...

Not quite. SM will be using the boxed version of CSPEX which is an earlier edition of it so it won't have the upgrades until Smith Micro has them.

They did announce updates for MS5 today, so that's good. :D

Smith Micro is promoting MS5ex during comic con.

While this is okay I wish they'd inform customers and owners of MS5 when updates will be available. So many things have been fixed and added since MS5s physical release and people may confuse it with it being exclusively to EX.

For the most part the only things that are exclusive to EX are story mode, 2DLT and 3DLT and 3rd party plugins.

Yeah but just remember this is a RC not a full version. So they still have things to adjust and tweak, ;D

But for my I4 I just manually set my page rotations. I've had to do manual sets for a few programs. It's a bit common.

Try if you have textures on your brushes try not to use super high rez images or just take off the texture entirely add via layer effect.

Similar to brushes in photoshop. :D

It's has some good basics, and I love the canvas and sketching, beyond that I'd use sketchbook pro, for half it's price, for what this program is trying to do.

Quote from: WampedAbout the filters, am I missing something for them to be fully translated to english or are they in japanese because it hasn't been translated yet?
Hey. They're only translated for Win x64. Also, you need to be running the EX version (I don't know why CELSYS decided this, maybe to make the EX package more attractive to potential customers?)
And I don't know when or if they'll come to the PRO version.
Mainly because they're still 3rd party plugins that Celsys didn't make. It was mainly for a contest they were holding.
All Celsys plugins and filters will work in pro while all 3rd party plugins EX will support. (Which is why they released the development kit that works with EX only)

I don't know whether the winners will be official CSP plugins. But as for now they're considered 3rd party.

We know this. Smith Micro redistributes Celsys' software for international use.  ;)

Comicstudio 3 and 4 were renamed Manga Studio. They just kept the Manga Studio name when they redistribute clip studio.

Biggest difference is for is software updates. Celsys updates Clip Studios Software much more frequently (On average every 2-3 months) than Manga Studio gets updated. So features that are in CSP now haven't appeared for Manga Studio, whose updates take longer.

MS5 and CSP aren't programs for creating 3D models in. Models are mainly there for a reference guides. You would use a 3D program like Poser or Clip Studio Modeler (Not avaliable yet) To make them and import them to CSP for illustration.
