Nice to meet you all ^^
My online name is Kaetemi, and I'm 18 years old (since a week ago). I live in Belgium and study Digital Arts and Entertainment (http://www.digitalartsandentertainment.be/).
Recently I've been trying out quite a few different tools for painting, since Photoshop (which is what we use at school) just doesn't listen to me, which is really annoying. Sure, it's got all those great shiny random effects that may sometimes happen to look good, but if it doesn't do what I want, it's just a piece of trash.
Through watching some nice videos at nicovideo.jp, I found out about SAI, and grabbed the english version from around here. I really like how this lightweight piece of software just does what it needs to do in a very clean way. It has some very useful features that even PS doesn't have, like simple page rotating, the customizable smoothing setting which can give very nice line quality compared to the wobbly lines photoshop always gives, the color mixing panel is also nice (although it would be even better if it was saved together with the document), and the 'water' brush really works nicely.
I'm probably going to attempt to buy this thing sometime in the next few days.

That's how I found out about SAI, too. I was watching one of nicovideo.jp's videos on YouTube, and I thought it was really awesome (both the video and some of the aspects of the program they were using). And someone had posted a comment saying what program it was and where I could find the English translation. :3

Hello, I guess intros go here? Well, I found out about SAI from Teruchan on DA. I am glad he posted the link. I purchased a key as soon as I discovered how great this program is. I also made a blog post review here: http://kaishu.animekanarazu.com/ (http://kaishu.animekanarazu.com/)
