How to backup your SAI color swatches?
« on: April 14, 2008, 05:47:15 PM »
Everytime I format my PC even after copying my main folder where the custom brushes are stored, the swatches and all the other settings are erased except for my brushes, anyone know if it's possible to backup the color swatches?

Swatches are saved into sai.ssd, but unfortunately this file regenerated every time that SAI running "first time setup".
So when you format your PC, SAI will run first time setup and regenerate sai.ssd -> swathes cleared.
And there are no way to save swatches to another file.

btw, why you format you PC so often? I don't format my PC for 2 years.

Thanks for the explanation, a shame you can't save them to a file.

I format Windows 6 to 8 months since it gets slow whenever I install new stuff, I'm also going to dual-boot so I was wondering if I could save my current swatches on my second drive.

I'm definitely going to suggest Koji an option to save and import color swatches that's essencial.

If you never reinstall windows before, don't try to do it by yourself. Better to find friend that can do it.

If your system is slowing down due to installing and uninstalling apps then get a Registry Cleaner program.  Also clearing out temp files helps.
