CELSYS has also updated the default presets for brushes, but you'll need to add them manually if you want them.

Wow! That actually works :o
Just quickly tested it with Notepad++ and added the Hex-Editor plugin to it (Plugins > Plugins Admin > Hex-Editor) and did a search for
31 00 00 00 22 68 74 74 70 3a 2f 2f 77 77 77 2e
and changed 31 to 30


Edit: CLIP now seems to be using my EN license from the server instead of my JP.
Can anyone else confirm if this HEX editing works for them?

If you change 31 to 30, then the English license cannot work.

I'm probably doing something wrong:

• Uninstall everything
• Install CLIP Paint in Japanese
• Activate JP serial
• Hex Edit \resource\english\742DEA58-ED6B-4402-BC11-20DFC6D08040 31 to 30
• Re-Install CLIP Paint and select English ?
• Next launch CLIP wants EN serial and rejects JP serial

What is the correct method?

Install CLIP Paint in Japanese   at the first start the license will be picked up automatically

Re-Install CLIP Paint and select English

Now when i try it, i get this when re-installing CLIP in English:


I'll probably need to clean all the certificates/authorisation keys off this PC. Think it's in %AppData% celsys.
Will try again tomorrow, need to sleep now. Wonder if it works for other people. I tried it with Hex Editor Neo and got the same results. And just tried it with v1.10.11

Thanks sam! Downloaded the file and compared it to mine and they're identical. 
I noticed on your Version Information screen you're running PRO and I'm trying this with an EX serial. I wonder if it's something to do with PRO vs EX?

Has anyone else had success with this method?

Works the same on Mac

Cool, will try it in a Virtual Machine later on! Hopefully I can figure out why it's not working for me


Also, crigo has updated the patch to the current 1.10.11 release. One change:
[Windows] Text input using IME has been reverted to as it was in Ver. 1.10.6 and earlier.
